ABOUT
Hello, I’m Claire. I don’t know to write in third person so I’m not going to try now.
Tivoli is my little wine project that would not be possible without the endless help and encouragement from my partner Bryn and our wider community of friends and family. Tucked away in the heart of Denmark/ Kwoorabup, Western Australia, we make small-batch wines that celebrate the beauty and uniqueness of the Great Southern.
“Tivoli” was the namesake of my father’s childhood home in Cork and when he emigrated to Australia and bought and renovated an old federation farmhouse house with my mum they decided to call it “Tivoli”. It is a place that I can still go to in my dreams; a place that feels full of character and life and charm; qualities I hope are reflected in our wines.
I’ve been working in vineyards and wineries in the Great Southern since 2020, where a healthy curiosity turned into a full-blown obsession — and a crackpot idea that I could make wine myself. Before the wine world I studied philosophy and worked as a carpenter- which means I’m good with my hands and with overthinking things.
Bryn is my right-hand man — he keeps things on track (me), lifts the heavy stuff, and taste-tests when needed (something about quality control). With an engineering background, he’s great at building things, and even better at fixing whatever I break.
Tivoli emerged in 2022, with just half a tonne of Syrah. Although we grow each year we’re still absolutely tiny, processing only 9 tonne in 2025. Fruit is sourced locally and often hand-picked (with a mob of kids in tow) from nearby vineyards. We strive to produce wines that are honest, expressive, and full of character. My driving force is simply to make wine that I want to drink; and I hope you do too! I picture these wines being shared at picnics, around backyard fire pits, being thrown in the bottom of beach bags, and brought out at dinner parties.
Tivoli embraces the joy and creativity that comes with small-scale winemaking.
Good wines for good times.
